I take issue with Ryan Lorrain’s letter (Oct. 14) applauding Sen. Susan Collins for representing Maine well during Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court. She did not represent me well at all.

She voted along party lines to confirm an ill-tempered man, just as she voted with other Republicans when they reduced health care benefits to Mainers and again when Republicans increased the future tax burden to Mainers (while giving the top 1 percent of wage earners tax breaks). She votes against Mainers when her party needs her vote.

She sold out Mainers and she sold out women, along with their rights to be fairly treated.

Sen. Collins does not represent me, or Maine, well at all.
