JAY — A man was seriously injured Sunday night when his pickup left East Jay Road and hit a tree, police Sgt. Russell Adams said Monday.
The man was taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He is believed to be from West Virginia and recently moved to Jay, Adams said.
The 1994 Toyota pickup truck he recently bought is registered to a Livermore Falls resident, Adams said.
Jay Fire Rescue Department assisted police Officer Dylan Rider at the scene near 233 East Jay Road, which is off Route 133. A resident reported the crash at 9:54 p.m.
Rider is investigating the accident.
