LIVERMORE FALLS — A local business is spearheading an effort to bring comfort, warmth, and joy to individuals and families this holiday season.
A Serendipity Moment, 30 Main St., will be collecting coats, hats, boots and gloves of all sizes through Dec. 31. The business is also collecting hoodies for teenagers.
Beginning in mid-November, toys for children and gift cards for teenagers will be collected. In December, A Serendipity Moment will collect non-perishable food items for holiday meals.
“All donations will go to local schools to be distributed to families in need,” said Jessica Martin, owner of the gift shop.
Anyone who brings in a donation will receive a scratch card with a chance to win prizes or a discount on merchandise.
“There are many prizes available,” said Martin. “Maine Street Treats has donated prizes, as well,” Martin said.
More information about the toy drive will be released soon, said Martin.
“We want to thank everyone who helps with these drives. It is very much appreciated,” Martin said.
For more information, call (207)897-3777 or stop by A Serendipity Moment. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday; Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
