LEWISTON – Agnes Marie “Nancy” Griffin, 73, a resident of Jay, passed away Wednesday morning, October 24th, at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1945, in Manchester, Connecticut, the daughter of Henry and Leonilda (Stephan) Pope.

She attended school in Manchester, Connecticut. On July 15, 1967, she married Harold R. Griffin, Jr. They were married for 35 years when he passed away on August 21, 2003.

She was a member of the Chesterville Grange and an Officer in the Young Marines. She enjoyed painting ceramics, cooking, knitting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Harold R. Griffin, III and his wife Julia of Jay, her grandchildren; Jason, Theresa and Richard Griffin, her goddaughter, Ashley Nolan of Massachusetts, her brother, Henry Pope, III and his wife Flor of Farmington, CT and her sisters; Leonilda Sullivan of Willington, CT, Maris Schaller and her husband August of West Hartford, CT and Leilani Dinse and her husband Merle of S. Windsor, CT. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.

funeral services will be held 11AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be 10-11AM prior to the funeral service.
