Why are you running for the Androscoggin County Commission? I can make a difference in our community by providing a fresh perspective and a set of eyes on our county’s budget, ensuring that money is spent wisely and taxes remain at a reasonable level.
What skills do you bring to the role of commissioner? I am a fiscal conservative. I have tenacity, dedication and attention to detail.
What is the biggest challenge facing the county, and how would you solve it? This year’s taxes in Androscoggin County have risen 5.9 percent over the last budget cycle. As a county commissioner, I will scrutinize every line item in the budget and suggest to my colleagues ways to lessen the burden on the taxpayer while maintaining a reasonable level of service in the courts, Sheriff’s Department and jail.
