As a retired American government teacher, I know the value of comprehending the U.S. Constitution, Maine Constitution and Maine statutes. Janet Mills has knowledge, understanding and experience with how Maine government is set up — policies, law making and judicial/executive processes.
Mills will stand up, speak out and work for all Mainers. She will follow the vote of the people and expand Medicaid to the 70,000-plus qualifying Mainers to improve their lives.
She believes in a strong public school system to ensure Maine’s children have the knowledge, skills and opportunities to have a good job and stay in Maine to raise a family. Investing in career and technical education programs will be a priority.
Mills will put the 99 percent of hard-working Mainers ahead of the one percent of millionaires and billionaires.
A vote for Janet Mills will put “serving the people” in the governor’s job description.
