Mother Nature wrapped up October by meddling with the high school football playoff schedule. Now she’s getting nosy in November.

Playoff games involving Oxford Hills and Winthrop/Monmouth/Hall-Dale originally scheduled for Friday night were moved due to a wet weather forecast.

No. 5 Winthrop/Monmouth/Hall-Dale and No. 1 Wells will try to beat the storm by playing Thursday, with kickoff at 6 p.m.

No. 2 Oxford Hills will host No. 3 Cheverus in their Class A North semifinal on Saturday at 6 p.m., at Gouin Athletic Complex.

As of Wednesday night, several other schools were still considering rescheduling their playoff games. Stay tuned to sunjournal.com for updates.
