LEWISTON — The board of directors for Community Concepts has received a $10,000 grant to continue to refine its governance capabilities.

After 18 months of training in a national program of the NeighborWorks America network, members of the board qualified for the grant to continue to build a stronger and more effective board. Effective boards are essential to the ability of organizations to efficiently deliver services to area residents over the long term.

Community Concepts is one of 15 nonprofits from across the country that graduated from the most recent round of the NeighborWorks Excellence in Governance program.
