AUBURN — The Androscoggin Land Trust will hold its annual meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The event will feature highlights from the past year, recognition for outstanding impact and the photography and words of guest speaker Brian Threlkeld. His talk is titled “Through the Lens of Adventure Photography: The Interconnectedness of Maine Land Conservation, Public and Economic Health.”

Threlkeld is an adventure photographer based in Portland. A former public school teacher, he created Threlkeld Outdoors, a platform to create authentic expedition-based content to safeguard public lands, advocate for logical environmental policies and build engagement in the outdoors. His clients include Maine Outdoor Brands, Planet Dog and Smartwool.

Award presentations are as follows: Jim Pross, Bonnie Lounsbury Environmental Award; Keith Comeau, Elliott Bates Stewardship Award; the Androscoggin River Watershed Protection Council, Androscoggin Partner Award; Maine Source Homes & Realty, Community Business Stewardship Award.

ATL will present information on its 30th anniversary celebrations in 2019. 

The public event is free, however a $10 donation is suggested. The social hour from 5 to 6 p.m. will include complimentary appetizers and a cash bar.

Photographs taken by Auburn PAL Center youth will be on display. Opportunities to win items from Lost Valley, Baxter Brewing and Patagonia will be available as part of a raffle.
