Winter farmers market opens

FARMINGTON — The Winter Farmers Market begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. The market is held at the Grange Hall, 124 Bridge St., West Farmington, which is just across the Route 2 bridge. 

The winter market will meet every Saturday until May. The market will feature farm products as well as locally produced cosmetics, crafts and baked goods, as well as vegan cooking demonstrations.  The hours are 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Military Personnel Honored at Lifetree Cafe

LEWISTON — Those who have served in the military will be honored at Lifetree Café at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15.

 The program, titled “Saluting Those Who Serve,” features a screening of the award-winning short film, “Memories of the Tuskegee Airmen.” The film includes interviews with surviving airmen and shares the story of their struggle, as black Americans, to serve their country as pilots during World War II.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at South Lewiston Baptist Church 1919 Lisbon Rd. Lewiston.

Society to meet

NEW GLOUCESTER — The Historical Society will be meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, next to the Town Hall.

“Archives Night” is the title of the meeting. Members and friends are invited to help with several projects that will keep the collection current. Refreshments will be served.

Androscoggin County Democrats meeting

AUBURN — The regular monthly meeting of the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Auburn Hall, 60 Court St., in the second floor community room. (Parking is available in the parking garage directly behind the building on Mechanics Row.)

They will debrief from the election, celebrate victories and make plans for upcoming meetings. Androscoggin County Democrats and all other interested persons are encouraged to attend.
