A favorite euphemism used by politicians is that Maine is made up of “hard workers.” With the new governor and Legislature about to be put in place, all those “hard workers” in Maine had better get ready to work even harder.

After January, 2019, all those “hard workers” are going to be progressively hit with new taxes that will further this welfare state with new entitlements and social programs that will be giddily thrown at the public by the new crew in Augusta. People in the state cannot afford them, but at least, it is “progressive.”

For all those folks who aren’t part of the “hard worker” segment in this state — don’t worry, the drinks will be “on the house.”
