Richard “Dick” Bickford

LISBON – Richard “Dick” Bickford of Lisbon Falls passed away Nov. 9, 2018 at home, after an 11-year battle from a stroke, with his loving family and wife, Diane (Roberts) Bickford of 51 years, at his side.

Dick was the son of the late Robert and Cynthia (Durgin) Bickford. Dick was a registered Maine Guide. He loved outdoor sports and spending a lot of time at his camp on Moosehead Lake with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Susan Lilly and husband, Jerry, of Dresden, Rene Parr and companion, William Joyce, of Topsham, Theodore Temple of Bowdoin; grandchildren, Preston Pomerleau, Morgan Parr, Tabitha Parr, Theodore Temple Jr., Christopher Lowell; great-grandchildren, Anna and Austin Pomerleau; and many nieces and nephews. Sister, Cheryl Goddard, brothers, Clifford and Phyllis Bickford, Roger and Virginia Bickford Steve Bickford; sister-in-law, Shirley Bickford; and aunt, Shirley Durgin.

He was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Bruce Bickford; a brother-in-law, Conrad Goddard; and uncle,  Paul Durgin

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at the West Bowdoin Baptist Church, 54 West Road, Bowdoin, Maine. A celebration of life will follow in the church hall next door.
