SOUTH PARIS — SCORE Oxford Hills will hold a free workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 3, in room 201 at the Oxford Hills School District offices, 232 Main St.
Brian Hanson, president of Maine Business Brokers, will present the workshop titled Buying or Selling Your Business. Topics will include: Do you want to buy or sell a business? How do you find the right business or a qualified buyer? What is the right price?
Buying or selling a business is different than a real estate transaction; there are specific legal, accounting and process issues that need to be understood by both parties.
Hanson has 18 years of entrepreneurial experience. He acquired Maine Business Brokers after starting or buying numerous businesses in Maine and New Hampshire, as well as in Novosibirsk, Russia.
