HIRAM (WGME) — A barn and a house were destroyed in a fire Thursday night, according to the Hiram Fire Department.

Officials said they were called to the property on Hampshire Street around 8:45 p.m. They said when crews arrived, the barn had already burned to the ground and the house was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were on scene for eight hours.

Mutual aid was called in from Baldwin, Brownfield, Bridgton, Cornish, Denmark. Harrison, Limington, Naples, Sebago and Standish.

No animals or vehicles were in the barn.

The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
