CAMDEN, N.J. – Kenneth G. Bouchard, 65, a resident of Blackwood, N.J., formerly of Maine, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J.  He was born August 17, 1953, in Van Buren, Maine, the son of Reno Bouchard and Gladys (Lavoie) Bouchard.

He graduated from Van Buren High School and joined the U.S. Air Force following graduation.  He went active duty June 22, 1972.  In August of 1979 he got out of the Air Force, and joined the Army National Guard in Augusta. In April 1980 went back on active duty in the Air Force. He retired Feb. 28, 1993, with 20 years and 11 months total service.

On August 9, 1975, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, he married Juanita Lee of Livermore Falls. Together they made their home and raised their sons, Paul and Keith. He enjoyed traveling with his family, hunting and fishing. He was a former member of the George Bunton Post #10. He served as Grand Chef de Gare from 2009-2010 for the 40 & 8 and as State Commander for the American Legion from 2012-2013. He was currently a member of American Legion Post #281 in New Jersey.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Juanita Bouchard of Blackwood, N.J.; sons, Paul Bouchard and his wife Gerrie, and Keith Bouchard; his grandchildren, Dexter and Daphne Bouchard, all of New Jersey; siblings, Rena and Rose Bouchard of Van Buren, Theresa Sawyer and her husband Steven of Veazie, Irene Lee of Vassalboro, Mona Boulrisse and her husband Rick of Bourne, Mass., Norman Bouchard and his wife Tina of Hebron, Conn., Eugene Bouchard and his wife Mary Ann of Glastonbury, Ct., and Mark Bouchard of Sabattus. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Estelle Bouchard and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Lee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, interment 1 p.m. with full military honors at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta, Maine.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the funeral home.
