Jeannine A. Turgeon

1932 – 2018

LEWISTON – Jeannine A. Turgeon, 86, formerly of Colton Avenue in Lewiston passed away peacefully Saturday Nov. 17, 2018, at Marshwood Health Care Facility.

She was born in Lewiston, July 25, 1932, the daughter of Romeo and Albertine (St. Pierre) Cloutier.

She attended local schools and graduated as Salutatorian at the age of 16 from St. Dominic High School. Jeannine married the love of her life, Roger Turgeon, on May 30, 1956, and together they raised four children. After staying home for many years to raise her children, she returned to work at the optometry office of Dr. Bouchard. She was then employed for many years at Dion Distributors, retiring in 1996.

Jeannine was a former member of Holy Family Church where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann. More recently, she was a member at Our Lady of the Rosary, where she had many friends that she enjoyed having breakfast with after Mass. She also enjoyed her weekly excursions to the casino with her sister-in-law, Pauline.

Survivors include one son, Paul Turgeon and wife, Tricia, of Eastham, Mass., three daughters, Doris Ouellette and husband, Bob, of Greene, Denise Bolger and husband, Dennis, and Louise Wotton and husband, Frank, all of Lewiston. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Renee Moore and husband, Larry, Danielle Waters, and husband, Greg, Matthew Bolger, and Melanie Ouellette, as well as two great-granddaughters, Natalie and Gianna Moore.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roger; and two brothers, Marcel and Adrian.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Jeannine’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, November 26, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus. Committal prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.

Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday, November 25, from 1-4 p.m. at PINETTE DILLINGHAM & LYNCH FUNERAL HOME, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
