HIRAM — Mia-Angelina Leslie scored a game-high 11 points and St. Dom’s held Sacopee Valley to five points in the second half to notch a 37-22 girls’ basketball victory Thursday.

Skye Rogers added eight points for St. Dominic (1-1), which led 24-19 at halftime.

Riley Vacchiano scored 10 points for Sacopee Valley (0-2).

Boothbay 69, Mt. Abram 21

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Faith Blethen scored a game-high 27 points and Glory Blethen had 23 as the Seahawks (2-0) downed the Roadrunners (0-3) on Thursday.

Ashley Abbott added eight points for Boothbay, which used a 28-4 advantage in the third quarter to take a 59-18 lead.

Maddy Phelps scored eight points and Summer Ross added five for Mt. Abram.

Gray-NG 51, Freeport 22

GRAY — Mikeala Ryan scored 16 of her game-high 20 points in the first half as the Patriots (3-0) rolled past the Falcons (2-1) on Thursday.

Bri Jordan added 11 and Eliza Hotham chipped in 10 for the Patriots, who led 43-17 after three quarters.

Caroline Smith scored 14 points for Freeport.

Mountain Valley 67, Telstar 34

RUMFORD — Mountain Valley outscored Telstar 23-6 in the second quarter en route to a 67-34 girls’ basketball win Thursday.

Kierstyn Lyons led the way with 17 points for the Falcons, followed by 11 from Courtney Carrier and 10 each from Avery and Rylee Sevigny. Carrier also grabbed 14 boards.

Calla Orino scored 11 to pace Telstar, which also had nine points from Luci Rothwell in the loss.

Forest Hills 40, Pine Tree 39

JACKMAN — Alexandra Lessard scored 17 points to lead the Tigers to an East/Wes Conference victory over the Breakers on Thursday.

With nine seconds left, Lessard brought the ball up down a point and hit an elbow jumper to win the game with a seconds left.

Taylor Fountaine added eight points for Forest Hills (3-0).

Jordan Milano led Pine Tree (0-1) with 17 points, while Emily Schlisner added 15 points.

Girls’ hockey

St. Dominic 8, Brunswick 0

AUBURN — Avery Lutryzkowski scored five goals in St. Dom’s 8-0 win over Brunswick on Thursday night.

Lutryzkowski scored once in the first period for the Saints (2-2) then twice in each of the final two periods. She also assisted on Gisele Ouellette’s goal in the third period. Emma Theriault and Bella Webster also slotted goals in the win.

Brunswick falls to 0-5 on the year.

Yarmouth/Freeport 6, Greely/Gray-New Gloucester 3

YARMOUTH — Yarmouth/Freeport (3-1) scored four goals in a 5:24 span in the second period to beat Greely/Gray-New Gloucester (1-6) at Travis Roy Ice Arena on Thursday.

Ashley Arruda started the spurt when she scored off an assist from Kyaira Grondin and Hannah Swift 10:39 into the second to tie it at 2-2.

Yarmouth took the lead for good less than three minutes later on a goal from Lily Caulfield.

Camilla Lattanzi scored twice for Greely.

Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse 10, Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI 1

BRUNSWICK — Noah Austin and Ian Struck each scored three goals with three assists as Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (2-0-1) beat Lawrence/Skowhegan/MCI (0-2) at Watson Arena on Thursday.

Cam Poisson, Hunter Merryman, Alex Witwicki and Trevor Brown also scored for Mt. Ararat.

Cody Dixon scored for Lawrence, and Adrian O’Connell finished with 37 saves.
