AUGUSTA — Jim Fay has been hired as senior project manager for Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership, the center recently announced.

As a senior project manager, Fay will be an integral part of Maine’s economic development team by delivering revenue-generating services to the state’s manufacturers. The position requires extensive manufacturing operations experience, an ability to recognize and exploit client opportunities, and a proven record in deploying lean methodologies.

With more than a decade of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, he is Lean Bronze Certified with experience in safety, team-building, employee development and operations. At Maine MEP, he will deliver services himself and/or coordinate partner services to MEP’s clients.

Before joining Maine MEP, Fay was director of operations at KICTeam Inc. in Auburn. While there, he led the technical cleaning solutions facility that produces cleaning products, cosmetics, lens cleaners and food-packaging products.
