RUMFORD — Mountain Valley remained unbeaten and handed Hall-Dale its first loss of the season, 63-53, in MVC boys’ basketball action Thursday.

Keegan Davis led Mountain Valley (6-0) with 27 points, including three 3-pointers. Cameron Godbois added 12 points and Will Sorensen had nine.

Ashtyn Abbott scored 22 points and Alec Byron scored 18 for the Bulldogs (3-1).

Oak Hill 66, Carrabec 32

WALES — Liam Rodrigue scored 14 points and Gabe Samson added 12 to lead the Raiders to the MVC boys’ basketball victory Thursday, evening their record at 3-3.

Gavin Rawstron, in only his second game back from injury, scored nine points, and Justin Aldridge had seven.

Nik Dube scored 20 points for Carrabec (0-5), while Brad Clark added six.

Old Orchard Beach 56, St. Dominic 31

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Zachary LaPlante scored eight of his 16 points during a 20-2 run in the second quarter as the Seagulls (2-2) cruised past the Saints (1-3) on Thursday.

LaPlante also collected 10 rebounds, and Ryan Crockett had 13 points and five steals for OOB, which turned a 10-10 tie after one quarter into a 30-12 halftime lead.

Bryton Kieltyka paced the Saints with 18 points.

Spruce Mountain 93, Wiscasset 21

RUMFORD — Camden Phillips scored 17 as one of 11 Spruce Mountain players to score in its 93-21 boys’ basketball win over Wiscasset on Thursday night.

The Phoenix also received 13 points from Kale Stewart and 12 from Tate Walton. Andrew Shaw also chipped in 10.

Spruce Mountain’s biggest quarter was a 33-point effort in the third.

Wiscasset (1-5) was paced by Josh Gabriele and Billy Pinkham, who each scored six.

Winthrop 83, Telstar 25

WINTHROP — Cam Wood scored 19 points, Ryan Baird added 16 and the Ramblers (6-0) opened Thursday’s game with a 32-6 run and cruised to a lopsided win over the young Rebels on Thursday.

Cam Hachey chipped in 12 points for the Ramblers, who led 49-9 at halftime.

Davin Mason paced the Rebels with 12 points. Brayden Stevens added 10.
