FARMINGTON — The Farmington Warming Center will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January and February, and Tuesdays in March for its 2019 season. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Folks can stop in for snacks and activities. At noon, everyone is welcome for a lunch of soup and dessert provided by community friends. The lunch is free, but donations are appreciated and volunteers are always welcome. 

The center isn’t equipped to supervise children and don’t offer adult day care services. Public transportation is available for a small fee by calling Western Mountain Transportation at 1-800-393-9335. Be sure to call in advance.

Scheduled times and locations are:

• Henderson Memorial at 110 Academy St. on Tuesdays, Jan. 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5 and 12. To volunteer at this location, call 207-778-2163

• St. Joseph’s at 133 Middle St. on Tuesdays, Feb. 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19 and 26. To volunteer at this location, call 207-491-4947.

• Old South at 227 Main St. on Thursdays, Jan. 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28. To volunteer at this location, call 207-645-2884.

For weather-related cancellations, listen to WKTJ-FM 99.3. The center is cancelled if schools are canceled. Those with any further questions or wishing to donate food can call 207-778-2163.
