The newly-elected governor, Janet Mills, told Maine citizens that she would represent the interests of all Mainers. It didn’t take her long to show she was not sincere.

When President Trump sponsored a bipartisan meeting of all newly elected governors to discuss shared priorities and how the Trump administration could help the states, Maine’s governor-elect decided not to attend.

How can she represent all Mainers if she decides to not learn and work with the current administration to seek solutions for the common good of all Maine citizens?

Her actions are political and not in the best interests of all Mainers.

I am afraid that, under her leadership, Mainers will see an increase in taxes, an increase in spending and the state’s financial surpluses wiped out.

I hope I am wrong. Time will tell.
