LEWISTON – Leona Irene Sinclair, 55, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, surrounded by her family after an extended struggle with health issues. She was born April 17, 1963, in Boston, Mass., to David and Frances (Poverman) Levy and was the oldest of three children.

She was a 1982 graduate of Gladewater (Texas) High School. She married Timothy C. Sinclair Jr. on June 29, 1991. Leona was artistically gifted and enjoyed drawing and writing poetry. Much of her working career was spent caring for others as a nursing aid and she extended that caring nature to family and friends throughout her life. She will forever be remembered as a beautiful strong-willed woman who fought to the end.

She is predeceased by a son, Robert T. Sinclair.

She is survived by her husband, Tim; her children, Brittany Dunn and Shawn Sinclair; grandchildren, Rachael, Savanah, Angelito, and Jamal; and her brothers, Michael and Steven Levy.

Family, friends, and others whose lives she touched are invited to a celebration of Leona’s life to be held at Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, 490 Pleasant St., Lewiston, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019.
