NAPLES — A logging truck crash on Sebago Road on Wednesday was blamed on inclement weather.
The fully loaded truck landed on its side in a ditch after travelling off the roadway on a snow-covered, curvy section of Sebago Road shortly before 10 a.m., according to a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office’s statement.
The driver of the truck, Phillip Howard Jr., 55, of Bennington, New Hampshire, was evaluated by Naples Fire and EMS for complaint of pain.
The Maine Department of Transportation and Naples Fire and EMS were assisting with traffic while the truck was being removed.
The 2007 tractor and 53-foot trailer loaded with logs was owned by Jason Curtis Outdoor Services from Chichester, New Hampshire, according to the statement.
The road was closed occasionally over the next several hours to assist in the removal of the truck.
