SALEM — Summer Ross needed 19 points for 1,000 for her high school career and she hit it on the nose in Mt. Abram’s 52-36 girls’ basketball victory over Madison on Wednesday.

Kaylee Knight added 11 points for the Roadrunners (5-7), who grabbed 37 rebounds and only turned the ball over five times.

Katheryn Worthen led the Bulldogs (5-7) with 18 points.

Hall-Dale 54, Monmouth Academy 51

MONMOUTH — Iris Ireland had a game-high 24 points to lead Hall-Dale to a 54-51 victory over Monmouth Academy in girls’ basketball action Wednesday.

KK Wills also made an impact for the Bulldogs (7-4), scoring 21 points.

Katie Harris led the Mustangs (8-4) with 12 points, while Emma Johnson added 11 and Kaeti Butterfield had 10.

Boothbay 39, Oak Hill 30

BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Faith Blethen scored 19 points and the Seahawks (12-0) built a 24-8 halftime lead in a win over the Raiders (10-1).

Glory Blethen added seven points.

Sara Moring scored 10 points for Oak Hill, while Sadie Waterman chipped in seven.

Hebron 44, Kents Hill 21

READFIELD — Allyson Walsh scored 13 points to lead Hebron to a 44-21 girls’ basketball win over Kents Hill on Wednesday.

Reily New added 12 points for the Lumberjacks (7-1).

Lauren Murray scored 10 points and Jarni Hewins had eight for the Huskies (0-5).

Mountain Valley 55, Lisbon 20

LISBON — Rylee Sevigny lifted Mountain Valley to a 55-20 MVC girls’ basketball victory over Lisbon on Wednesday.

Supporting Sevigny were Saydie Garbarini and Kierstyn Lyons, who each scored 10 points for the Falcons (9-3).

Sydney Plourde and Destiny Deschaines each had four points for the Greyhounds (1-10).

Poland 54, Sacopee Valley 32

POLAND — Allison Ferland paced Poland to a 54-32 victory over Sacopee Valley with 17 points in girls’ basketball action Wednesday night.

Alyssa Gagne was also scored in double figures with 11 points for the Knights (3-9).

Emma Hartford led Sacopee Valley (2-8) with 10 points, while Savanna Marlowe had six.

Temple 47, Buckfield 39

WATERVILLE — The Bereans used a big third quarter to pull ahead and hold on for the Class D girls’ basketball win over the Bucks.

Deleyni Carr led the way with 15 points for Temple (8-3), while Hannah Hubbard scored 12.

Buckfield (4-5) was led by Hannah Shields’ game-high 20 points.

Boys’ basketball

Poland 55, Sacopee Valley 23

HIRAM — Isaiah Hill had 16 points, including four buckets from beyond the arc, to lead the Knights (4-8) to a 55-23 boys’ basketball win over the Hawks (4-7) on Wednesday.

Tyler Tucci added 12 points for Poland.

Michael Murphy was the leading scorer for Sacopee Valley with 12 points.

Temple 54, Buckfield 41

WATERVILLE — Nathan Riportella had 17 points and Nathaniel Wiles scored 11 to lead the Bereans (8-3) to the East/West Conference victory over the Bucks.

Zack Wiles and Nicholas Blaisdell had six points apiece for Temple.

Tyler Gammon scored 20 points for the Bucks (3-8).

Boys’ hockey

Lewiston 5, Bangor 2

BANGOR — John Mathon and Logan Tripp had two goals apiece to pace Lewiston past Bangor 5-2 in boys’ hockey action Wednesday.

Ryan Pomerleau added a goal and an assist for the Blue Devils (10-0).

Joel Sherwood potted both goals for the Rams (7-1), who suffered their first loss of the season.

Lewiston goalie Jacob Smith made 26 saves, while Jack Hirsch made 31 saves for the Rams.

Leavitt/GNG/Oak Hill 5, Kennebunk/Wells 0

AUBURN — Austin Taylor had two goals and an assist to pace the Poland/Leavitt/Oak Hill/Gray-New Gloucester Kings to a 5-0 victory over Kennebunk/Wells on Wednesday.

Spencer Berube and Andrew Topham each had a goal and assist for the Kings (4-4), and Nate Marcotte also scored.

Xavier Michaud only needed to make 13 saves for the shutout.

Indigo Looper stopped 34 shots for the Rams (1-10).

Girls’ hockey

Lewiston 10, Portland/Deering 2

PORTLAND — Gemma Landry recorded a hat trick for the Blue Devils (13-0) in a girls’ hockey win over Portland/Deering (3-10) at Troubh Ice Arena.

Madison Conley added a goal and two assists for Lewiston. Sara Robert, Bri Dube, Grace Dumond, Katie Lemieux, Veda Leclerc and Abby Chartier also scored.

Caroline Lerch and Margaret Smith scored for Portland.
