Bates College will host author Daegan Miller at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, for a talk titled “The Work of Imagination in the Age of Catastrophe.” His writings include 2018’s “This Radical Land: A Natural History of American Dissent,” a chronicle of American “radical thinkers, settlers and artists who grounded their ideas of freedom, justice, and progress in the very landscapes around them.” The talk will be held in Room 204, Carnegie Science Hall, 44 Campus Ave., Lewiston.
