BOSTON — New England Watercolor Society, one of the oldest and most prestigious watercolor societies in the United States, will present the annual Signature Members Show, highlighting the work of some of the finest watercolor artists in New England during February.
Auburn resident Janet Laird-Lagassee will be among 99 artists participating in the show, to be held from Feb. 6 through March 3. Bringing together the work of some of New England’s finest watercolor artists, the show will be held at the Guild of Boston Artists, 162 Newbury St. Internationally acclaimed artist Jean Haines will be this year’s exhibition judge.
Included in the exhibit schedule will be three Saturday gallery talks at 1 p.m. and three Sunday painting demonstrations at 1 p.m. by member artists. For further information, visit newenglandwatercolorsociety.org/galleries/2019SMS.html.
The show is free and open to the public. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sunday noon to 4 p.m. Closed Mondays. Artists reception and awards will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
