FALMOUTH — Will Fletcher and Dominic Chasse scored less than a minute apart midway through the first period to get the St. Dominic Academy offense going, and the Saints didn’t stop until they held a solid advantage over host Falmouth in a 5-2 Class A boys’ hockey victory at Family Ice Center on Wednesday.

Chasse scored another first-period goal, assisted by Fletcher, who also added the helper on Derek Wolverton’s second-period goal to give the Saints (11-4-1) a 4-0 lead.

The Yachtsmen (4-12) cut that deficit in half with the next two goals in the third period. Charlie Adams scored on the power play early in the frame, and Garrett Tracy later made it 4-2.

Lucas Pushard put the nail in the coffin for the Saints. Chasse provided an assist for his fourth point of the game. Fletcher had three, and Leandro Naous had two on a pair of assists. Tracy had two points for Falmouth.

Both teams sent 30 shots on net. Gaston Fuksa made 28 saves for St. Dom’s, while Sam Kidder turned away 25 shots for Falmouth.
