TURNER — A prom and wedding dress sale fundraiser — with more than 800 dresses — will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, to benefit patients suffering from Crohn’s disease or colitis.

The event will be hosted by Eric’s Angels at the Boofy Quimby Memorial Center, 96 Howe’s Corner Road, in memory of Eric S. Dawes and his sister, Jennifer Dawes Gomm, who dedicated a lot of her time over the last seven years of her life to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Needham, Mass., in memory of her brother.

Dawes passed away Aug. 28, 2011, after a long battle with Crohn’s; his sister died Aug. 14, 2018.

Many of the wedding dresses have been donated by Kleinfeld Bridal of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” fame. Most of the dresses are priced at  $75 or less and range in size from 0 to 30. For more information, call Lucy Dawes, 207-852-8364.

The event is free and open to the public.
