A group of young ladies of The Church of the Holy Family in Lisbon Falls is preparing a four-part comedy, “Rosemary,” which they will present in Columbia Hall on March 4. The play is under the direction of Mrs. Louis Desjardins.
50 years ago: 1969
The Lewiston-Auburn Chapter of the Women’s Aglow Fellowship International will meet Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Ramada Inn Convention Center to celebrate the new year. Entertainment will be puppets, musical groups and plays. A $2 donation is requested at the door to cover the cost of refreshments.
25 years ago: 1994
The Fryeburg Historical Society will meet March 1 at the American Legion Hall on Bradley Street at 7 p.m. There will be a business meeting followed by a program titled, “The Tunnel under Main Street and growing up in Fryeburg in the ’80s and ’90s” by Bob Hatch and Butch Sanborn.
