DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to invite crafters to contribute to a series of art installations that will consist of knitted and crocheted pieces. I can use strips and shapes of any size and color, plus helpers to install. I am also accepting nominations for outdoor spaces to display the art with permission. Email me at kackyw@gmail.com or call 207-212-9438. This will be a long-term, ongoing series and I look forward to hearing from you.

ANSWER: Here’s a project for our crafty readers to think about. Please respond to Sun Spots if you’re handy with this type of up-cycling!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do elementary schools keep past class group photographs and student report cards in a file somewhere? If I wanted copies of them, how can I go about getting them? You are so helpful all the time.

ANSWER: You would need to call the school you attended and give the secretary the details of exactly what you are looking for. If that elementary school is no longer open, as in my case, try calling the school district office. If you don’t have any luck, please send Sun Spots the specifics of the name of the school and the years you attended. I’ll publish it and perhaps an old classmate of yours is a reader and has some of those precious photos tucked away and will share them with you! Wouldn’t it be great to reconnect over these memories?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am elderly and am having difficulty keeping up with housework. I need someone who can come to my home once or twice a month. Do you know what services are available in the area? Thank you for your help.
