LEWISTON — A plant-based community potluck will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the Ark, 791 Lisbon St. Bring a vegan dish and its recipe to share with others. Those attending must register.

Church to sponsor New England boiled dinner

FARMINGTON — A New England boiled dinner is on the menu for the next dinner at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in Fellowship Hall, 110 Academy Street. The hall is now accessible by a street-level lift for those who are challenged by stairs.

The menu includes corned beef, ham, potatoes, beets, carrots, turnip, cabbage, onions, homemade pies and breads. Ticket prices are $9 for adults; $5 for age 5 and under.

The congregation provides the meal and other fundraising activities throughout the year to help fund heating costs for the church. All are welcome to attend.

 

Benefit baked bean supper in Jay

JAY —  The Daughters of Isabella Circle 677, of St. Rose Parish, Jay, will hold a baked bean supper from 4:30-6 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in St. Rose Church hall. This benefit supper will divide the proceeds between Tri-Town Ministerial Food Cupboard, Jay and Heat Assistance Program, Jay. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 13 years of age.

 

Legion unit to hold bean, casserole supper

GRAY — There will be a baked bean and casserole supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 7, hosted by American Legion Unit 86, 15 Lewiston Road. Pies will be the featured dessert. Tickets are $9 for adults and $4.50 for children younger than 12.
