Moey was a hard-working, generous and thoughtful mother and wife. Family was her top priority which extended to so many others. She was known for her numerous gatherings, pool parties, horseback riding, holiday parties, open houses and amazing cooking – especially her homemade pies. Everyone was welcomed with open arms and there was always extra room at the dinner table. She always made sure that everyone was well-fed and taken care of. Those who knew her best, loved her the most.

Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Some of their favorite memories include, always having their favorite snacks and toys on hand, writing letters to them while away, and making them feel special. They knew she was home from Florida when they heard the musical horn blaring from the motorhome. Her knitted clothes and blankets always had a tag saying “from Moey with love”.

Moey and Poey spent their 65 years traveling around the world, driving through the country, wintering in Florida and enjoying their time at “the camp” in Harpswell. She was an active member Holy Family Parish, St Martins de Poiriers, Cub Scouts and numerous other organizations. She also worked at the family business with Poey.

She fought a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia with her loving husband by her side every step of the way.

Special thanks to the incredible staff at Montello Manor for their exceptional care and compassion.
