Rangeley Health and Wellness is encouraging Rangeley Lakes Region community members to play an integral role in developing a new strategic plan for the organization.
The mission of Rangeley Health and Wellness is to facilitate and advocate for health and wellness in the Rangeley Lakes region. Since 1993 the organization has successfully been able to bring stable, locally based, high-quality primary health care to our community, and to offer affordable health and wellness programs to community members of all ages.
2020 was a year unlike any other and had profound effects on businesses and individuals alike. As a community we stepped up to take care of our neighbors and worked together to steer through the pandemic safely. RHW provided emergency food boxes, delivered meals, made visits and calls to home bound seniors, increased telehealth capabilities, and provided online education and children’s programming, while maintaining its rehabilitation services and fitness center for the well-being of our community. Considering the broad spectrum of services provided, RHW is embarking on a comprehensive strategic planning process, the aim of which is to reevaluate its mission and how successfully it is meeting the needs of the community.
Community engagement is a vital component of the strategic plan and the input provided will be key in developing needs, priorities, goals, and strategies that will guide the organization’s vision for the future. This planning process will include an inventory of current RHW programs; a stakeholder needs assessment survey as well as interviews with individual stakeholders.
Our survey will run through the end of April, and community members are encouraged to participate. Responses will be kept confidential. You may access the online survey by visiting our website: www.rrhwp.org. For more information, please contact Leslie at 207- 864-4397.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
