Video: Mask-wearing objections raised at Androscoggin County Commission meeting
Despite the science showing that masks help prevent the transmission of the coronavirus, a group of people spoke against mask-wearing mandates at an Androscoggin County Commission meeting.
An executive order signed Dec. 11, 2020, by Gov. Janet Mills requires “enforcement of face covering requirements in indoor public settings. Owners and operators of indoor public settings must require all persons to wear face coverings in publicly accessible areas.” The video you are about to see shows people objecting to that order during Wednesday’s Androscoggin County Commission meeting.
The Centers for Disease Control “recommends that people wear masks in public settings, at events and gatherings, and anywhere they will be around other people.”
