Kenneth J. McCurdy

SALT LAKE CITY – Kenny McCurdy passed away along with his beloved wife, Marci Baak at their home in Salt Lake City on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021 at the age of 51. Kenny was born to parents, Carol Wiley and John McCurdy, in Maine on Jan. 27, 1969. He grew up in Wilton and graduated from Mt. Blue High School. After spending a little time in Denver he moved back to Maine to begin his career in excavation.He later moved to Florida and continued this same career. In 2013 he moved to Salt Lake City. While living in Salt Lake City he rekindled his love for the guitar and music and helped form the band “Dealin in Dirt.” Also while living in Salt Lake City, Kenny met and married Marci Baak, whom he absolutely adored. Kenny is survived by his dad, Ken Wiley; brothers, Kevin McCurdy, Dan Wiley and Joe Healey, and sister, Teri Karnopp. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, John McCurdy and his mother, Carol Wiley. Where ever Kenny was, his presence was felt and he will be missed by many. A gofundme page has been created in memory of Kenny McCurdy fund and all donations will go to helping people who suffer with addiction. Due to current circumstances, you may honor Marci and Kenny at a temporary memorial that will be set up Saturday, Feb. 6, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 819 East Hudson Ave., Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. There will be a place to leave written memories or take a moment to reflect. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor. A Celebration of Life in Maine is in the planning stages for this summer.
