According to a post on the Lewiston Police Department’s Facebook page, the operator of a red, four-door, SUV-style vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run collision at Lisbon and Adams streets about 10:30 a.m.

The pedestrian, a 23-year-old woman from Lewiston, had been in a crosswalk at the time of the incident, Lt. David St. Pierre said Tuesday. She was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center after complaining of pain to her head and wrist, St. Pierre said.

A poor-quality surveillance video image was captured of the vehicle and posted on the department’s Facebook page.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Officer Brian Bourgoin at bbourgoin@lewistonmaine.gov or 207-513-3001, ext. 6376.
