Greg Swearingen cleans windows Thursday afternoon at Lions boutique shop at Lisbon and Pine streets in Lewiston. “I’ve been here most of my life so the cold doesn’t get to me but the darn streaking it makes on these windows is no fun,” he said. The shop opened in 2019 but closed due to the pandemic and is reopening Monday. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal Buy this Photo

LEWISTON — Peter Ntarugera and his wife, Alexandra, opened Lions, a mostly secondhand store, in June 2019 at 220 Lisbon St. (His last name translates to “lion” in English.) They wanted to run a clothing and shoe store that was accessible for anyone living downtown without a car.
