John P. Golino Jr.

LEWISTON – John P. Golino Jr., 46, of Lisbon Falls passed away on Saturday Feb. 13, 2021, due to the results of a medical event while he was snowmobiling.

He was born in New Haven, Conn. on July 6, 1974, a son of John P. Sr. and Rosaria (D’Onofrio) Golino. He was raised in North Haven and was a graduate of North Haven High School, class of 1993.

After high school, John moved to Florida for a short time before eventually moving to Maine where he met and married his wife, Stephanie on June 12, 2004. John worked various jobs and most recently for Four Seasons Landscaping. He was a member of the Pejepscot Snowmobile Club, a USSSA umpire and was a player for many men’s and co-ed softball teams. He was also a well respected coach in Lisbon for LJAL, Rec. Basketball and Rec. Football.

Johnny will always be remembered for his love of meteorology, snowmobiling, coaching, umpiring and playing softball. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He was always quick to make that known to his friends in Red Sox and Patriots Nation. He will be sadly missed by many.

John is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Golino and their children, Andrew, Alexis Rider, Annika and Aiden of Lisbon Falls. He also leaves behind his father, John P. Golino, Sr. of Cape Coral, Fla., his mother, Rosaria Golino of Hamden, Conn., his brother, Paul Golino and his wife, Wen of Cape Coral, Fla., his niece Gabriella, his nephew, Nathan, his paternal grandmother Eleanor Golino of North Haven, Conn., and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Angelo Golino and his maternal grandparents, Alfonso and Iolanda D’Onofrio.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday Feb. 22, 2021, from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 50 people are allowed in the funeral home at one given time.
