Catherine L. Goulding

AUBURN – Catherine L. Goulding, 89, of Danville, Maine, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at Clover Manor in Auburn, after a short illness. Catherine was married for 60 years to the love of her life, James Goulding Sr., who left us in 2011. She was born in Greene, Maine, in 1932, daughter of the late Miner and Vena Gray.

Catherine worked diligently in the shoe shop industry for many years prior to her retirement, as well as being a devoted mother and spouse.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, neighbors, Anna and Mike, and spending countless hours with family and friends playing her favorite card game, continental.

She also enjoyed puzzles, gardening, and loved spoiling all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Catherine will be remembered for her dedication to family, her mastery of all things in the kitchen, and her huge compassion for others.

Catherine is survived by her brother, Glendon Gray and wife Gloria; sons, James Goulding Jr. and wife Joan, and Fred Goulding and wife Ann; grandchildren, Catherine Roy and husband Kenny, James Goulding III and wife Angeliec, Levi Poland and fiancée Courtney Woodward, and Nickolas Poland; great-grandchildren, Kristina Roy, Avery Goulding, Eli, Nikolas, and Lola Poland. She was predeceased by her four siblings, Walter, Wallace, Louis, and Irene.

A private family gathering will be held for Catherine followed by interment at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services 70 Horton St. Lewiston, 784-4584.
