50 Years Ago: 1971
An expansion at Lost Valley, in Auburn, including a new double chair lift — the price tag running over $150,000 were unfolded today by Otto Wallingford, co-owner of the ski area. The announcement was made this noon at a meeting of the Auburn Business Development Corp. at The Roundhouse Motor Inn. Wallingford said the new lift, similar to the one installed in 1963 will be constructed by the Hall Ski Lift Company.
25 Years Ago: 1996
During a rehearsal from a scene from “Letters to an Alien” the following children were rehearing their parts for the Mad Horse Children’s Ensemble: Tilly Weyl, Adam Sevigny and Carrie Price. The show will be performed at the Auburn Middle School, Upper Court Street in Auburn at 2 pm on Saturday. Tickets for the L/A Arts series are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
