WELD — Town Clerk Carol Cochran has announced the results of the municipal elections held Tuesday, March 2.
In an email sent Tuesday night, Cochran noted 69 people had voted.
Dina Walker received 66 votes for the three-year selectman seat that had been held by Thomas Skolfield.
Brian Haynes received 61 votes for the two years remaining on the three-year term vacated by David Rackliffe.
Incumbent Kelly Hutchinson received 61 votes for another three years as road commissioner.
Walker, Haynes and Hutchinson were the only candidates seeking those positions.
Nobody returned nomination papers for the five-year seat on the Planning Board. Stanley Wilcox, who said he was willing to be a write-in candidate received 27 votes. Patrick Lowe received five.
In other Weld news, Planning Board Chairman Naomi Doughty in an email Monday indicated the board would review the notes from the special meeting held Feb. 17 on the AT&T cellphone tower application during its regular meeting 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 10. If accurate, the findings of fact and conclusions from that meeting will be adopted.
On Jan. 19, the Board of Appeals remanded AT&T’s application for a 190′ cellphone tower back to the Planning Board with instructions. The Planning Board needed to determine if the applicant had right title and interest and clarify written findings regarding Article 21 of the Building Ordinance.
