Adopt Mufasa. Sandy Geddry
Look at Mufasa’s face and you will see a cat that has had a difficult life. His ears are frostbitten and his eyes are healing from severe infection.
When the animal control officer brought Mufasa into Responsible Pet Care he described him as a scrappy Tom cat. When his caregivers examined him he had blood on his teeth and looked like he had just been in a fight. He was a mess.
Mufasa did not know how to react to human care. He was frightened and spend most of his time hiding in a box in his kennel.
Fast forward to five months later. Mufasa’s injuries are healing. He is now running around the community room with several other cats. He approaches visitors and rubs against legs looking for attention. He’s a totally different cat.
Eight year old Mufasa needs a home. His outside life is over. He is ready to live a life of leisure with someone that loves him.
Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills is a no-kill, non-profit shelter and adoption center for cats and dogs, and the holding area for stray dogs for 12 towns in Oxford County. The shelter is located at 9 Swallow Road in Paris.
Anyone interested in adopting a pet from RPC can visit the shelter as follows: Monday and Tuesday closed; Wednesday and Thursday noon to 4 p.m.; Friday and Saturday noon to 5 p.m.; Sunday noon to 4 p.m.

Responsible Pet Care operates a thrift shop called Pawsibilities. It is located at 132 Waterford Road in Norway, and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations of clean, usable household items are accepted during shop hours. All the money raised at Pawsibilities supports RPC.
