LEWISTON- John Kelley 84 was carried to heaven by angels on March 9,2021. He was born September6,1936 at Fort Fairfield ME, the son of Linwood W. and Ellen ( Tower) Kelley.

He Graduated from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield Maine in 1955.

He served his country in the Air Force from 1957 to 1962. On May 18,1963 he married Claire Arsenault of Mexico Maine at St. Theresa’s Church. He retired from Newpage Paper mill in Rumford Maine in 2008.

His enjoyments were reading, biking, working with his children and most of all spending time with his wife Claire. HE also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Claire of Mexico Maine; two sons and their wives, Scott and Denise Kelley of Windham and Michael and Jill Kelley of Falmouth; along with two sisters Doreen Kelley of Warrenton, Va. and Maureen Russell of Manasas, Va. He also leaves five grandchildren, Eric, Brian and Adam Kelley of Windham,  and Joseph and Elizabeth Cyr of Falmouth.

He was predeceased by his parents; sister Teresa Pettingill and brother William Kelley.

Services will be private.
