This week FBI Director Christopher Wray, a Trump appointee, refuted two of the GOP’s big lies. First, that the election was stolen and, second, that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol included representatives of Antifa. He stated that there wasn’t any evidence that Antifa was involved.
The GOP — after losing the Senate and the presidency — appear to have resorted to a new tactic, perhaps fearing that its issues were not capable of winning elections anymore. Many GOP voter suppression bills have been initiated in states that they lost in 2020.
Have politics in 2021 really stooped to the low of denying citizens the lawful right to vote, out of fear that they may not vote for their party’s candidate?
