BRIDGTON — With many families struggling because of the pandemic, the members of Gallery 302 decided to give some help to the Bridgton Food Pantry.

Artist Ruth Boisvert donated a felted figure of the iconic “Bernie with Mittens” meme, to be raffled. Proceeds were shared between the food pantry and the gallery’s computer fund. The February raffle was a success, and each organization received $250.

Kate Krukowski Gooding also donated 125 of her cookbooks for the 125 families coming to the food pantry.

The Bridgton Food Pantry, located in the former United Methodist Church at 214 Main St., is open to anyone in need from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday.

Gallery 302 is an artists’ cooperative that manages the daily functions and expenses related to running a year-round gallery for more than 40 artists, located at 112 Main St. in Bridgton, across from the library. For more information, call 207-647-2787 or visit gallery302.com.
