AUBURN — John F. Murphy Homes has announced its challenge winners for February. The teams were challenged to bring happiness to those around them by delivering cookies to local heroes, and doing something kind for someone else each and every day.

The Golden Riots — Frank Michaud, Richard Gelinas, Debra Law and Kathrine Whitney — took first place by donating health items to a local charity, and sharing artwork with housemates and bank tellers.
Crystal Farwell, the “glistening lady,” also spread happiness in her home by making muffins for her peers, playing music for them to enjoy and making hair clips for everyone to enjoy.
Also recognized were teams at the Summer Street home and the North Main Street home, as well as one person at the day program who was on a solo mission to appreciate local heroes with chocolate chip cookies.
