NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine — located in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building at 199 Main St. — continues to provide free support and services to anyone impacted by cancer, survivors and caregivers alike.

Those looking for assistance can contact Diane Madden, executive director, at 207-890-0329 or dmadden@crcofwm.org to make an appointment.

Services include a variety of weekly virtual classes and programs, a library of recorded yoga and fitness classes on its website and YouTube channel that are accessible through smartphones, tablets or computers, free complementary therapy sessions with the new Live Well Card (formerly Caring Coupons), comfort items such as wigs, arm and neck pillows, port protectors, rice bags, wrap quilts, hats and afghans.

The center recently hired Stephanie LeBlond — an oncology social worker – on a part-time basis to assist clients with emotional, financial and basic needs, including travel and food support. Funding for her position is a result of a one-year operating grant from the Maine Cancer Foundation. She also holds a part-time position as an oncology social worker in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Oncology Department.

LeBlond can be reached at sleblond@crcofwm.org or 207-890-0205. She will return calls on her next scheduled work day at the center.

The Live Well Card (formerly Caring Coupon Program) provides up to five free complementary therapy sessions from a list of approved wellness providers. Caregivers are also eligible to receive a Live Well card for five sessions. Call 207-890-0329 or email info@crcofwm.org for more information. Some sessions may be done virtually.
