William “Bill” G. Snyder

LEWISTON – William “Bill” G. Snyder, 63, of Litchfield, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born April 3, 1957, in Lewiston, the son of Raymond and Ruth (Sherman) Snyder.

He graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1975. On Sept. 14, 2019, he married Roberta Perry in Litchfield. Bill worked as a manager at Tex Tech Industries in Monmouth for 45 years. He previously worked for Bancroft and Martin, Bickford Wood, Globe Albany and Sulkey Manufacturing. He and his queen loved to ride around Maine and New Hampshire trying different diners and sports bars. Traveling three or more hours for breakfast were fun times. When he met Berta, the love of his life, every Sunday became football Sunday. He looked forward to football but tolerated baseball. He enjoyed “Brady Bunch” gatherings of birthdays and holidays, and his favorite gatherings were lobster feeds. He loved bonfires. The day before he passed away, his family, friends and even strangers, lit bonfires for him to show how amazing Bill is.

His grandchildren would like to share how they feel about their Grampa; Hunter says he has the best mustache, Gage says he is a goofy and fun Grampa, Peyton says he is the best tickle monster, Bre says he is a fun Grampa, Declan says he loved him and GT says he has the comfiest lap to sit on.
