NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library is pleased to announce that Val Cole, instructor of SeniorsPlus will present an informative workshop on Fraud and Scams via Zoom on Thursday, April 15 at 6:00-7:30 p.m.
This workshop will give attendees information needed to determine what is real and what a scam is. What does fraud look like? What are the latest scams out there? How does one recognize fraud? By the end of the workshop, all should find out how to protect against this happening and where to go to report things so others do not become the next victim.
This program, held during Money Smart Week, April 10-17, is free to attend and open to the public. Money Smart Week is a national public education program coordinated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and delivered by a network of supporters that empowers people with the knowledge and skills to make better-informed personal financial decisions around the key financial pillars of saving, spending, borrowing and planning. This year’s strictly virtual campaign aims to help people better manage their personal finances with a focus on those hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Webinars are free and open to the public at www.moneysmartweek.org but registration is advised.
