Geraldine Elaine Libby Wiley

SOUTH PARIS – Geraldine Elaine Libby Wiley passed away on March 23, 2021. She was born on June 14, 1933, in Norway, Maine, the only child of Sylvia and Stanley Libby. She grew up in the South Paris area and graduated from Paris High School in 1951. After high school, she lived in Florida for two years, and then worked for many years at Barjo’s Restaurant.

She worked for 25 years at the Country Way Restaurant in South Paris.

Gerry married Bud Wiley in 1954. They raised four wonderful children together. After Bud died in 1992, Gerry often traveled to Florida with friends and became an avid golfer. She also enjoyed crafts, shopping and traveling to new places. She spent her later years with her companion, Myron Wiley, and they enjoyed many winters together in Florida. They returned to her home in South Paris, and spent their later years with their family and friends.

Gerry is survived by her children, Nancy (her husband Ralph), Terry, Carol (her husband Nick) and Bill. She is also survived by, and known as “Gigi”, to six grandsons: Brendan, Matthew, Joshua, Isaac, Benjamin and

Aaron. She touched all of their lives with her caring nature and sense of humor.

Special thanks to the Maine Veteran’s Home in South Paris and Beacon Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. No services will be held at this time. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
